Words From The Midwest XIX

Good evening, all troubled and true; all wittingly deranged. Welcome to another edition of Words From The Midwest.

It’s been three weeks since my last entry and I’m not sure why. I suppose a lot of it depends on the ups and downs of the creative process: over two days in November, I wrote an entire poetry collection. Just got a little saturday afternoon wine drunk and wrote the thing. And still, sometimes I go three weeks without writing a word. I did record and release an EP and recorded my first double album (17 tracks, about an hour in length) over that time period. It will be released digitally on Monday (the 22nd) with a physical release coming in March. It’s the album (“Simplifiers”) that goes along with the novella A Pair Of Honest Men, in which an album’s writing process is detailed…My first two novellas will precede the former and in all will be referred to as The Supposed So Trilogy.

Maybe I’m a little pretentious.

But I’m really excited about the project. It’s one of those things where it feels like the encapsulation of all of my work up to this point. The album is the best sounding album I’ve made and it’s the most exact in its arrangement and production. I’m proud of it.

Otherwise, I’m just looking forward to the holidays and all of that. My sisters and I will all be together. It’s a good thing.

I hope you and yours are well as always.

Regards,

Michael
